Indian team on a low

The current series against Australia has exposed the chinks in Indian batting and bowling.

Stalwarts like Rahul Dravid and V V S Laxman have not come good with all their experience.

Sachin has had good starts but has not taken it further. On the bowling front on Umesh Yadav

has shown some steam in the Aussie conditions. Ashwin has not come good. Pragyan Ojha was

not tried out by Dhoni in the whole series. The media was also critical of Dhoni's captaincy.

All in all a forgetable series for India and coming on the back after the defeat in England

the selectors have a lot to mull over.

vijay-on the back foot

Indian Team showed their chink in the armour. With the absence of stalwarts
like Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman they folded up like nine pins.
It shows the Rahul the wall Dravid is an exceptional performer on
any kind of wicket and he has proved his mettle in matches abroad.
His absence was also felt in the Ranji final against Mumbai which was
played in Mysore. A good chance was lost by Karnataka to gain
the Ranji title. Losing by six runs was a small consolation.
We have to see now how the Indian team performs in the second
test starting in Kolkata, whether they will be able to redeem
their prestige
